Dr. Yasser Hifny is a professor at Capital University in Egypt, bringing 25 years of industry experience with companies such as RDI, IBM, Nuance, and Cerence. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in electronics and communication engineering from Cairo University in 1995 and 2000, respectively, and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2006. His primary research interests include speech recognition and synthesis, natural language processing, statistical pattern recognition, and information theory.
